Patent Offices- question

I believe that IDCC makes patent application in the Patent Offices in the U.S., Japan and Germany. Are there other regions where IDCC files it patents? I also know that IDCC has Trade Marks in various locations including Canada. Any additional insight will be appreciated.

I thought we had over 4,000 approved patents, and 500 pending.

Now, court documents say 1,600 approved, and over 5,000 pending.

So, how come DR's numbers say substantially less?

Reminds me of a CC question long ago, when Howard said he would try to get a more accurate count of patents, in answer to one analyst's question.
