#91320 RE: leo50 #91274

This is what PUC/SEC Members think about the site.

Quote from PUC member of Site Eval Comm:

"We're starting with a brownfield site here that we've identified as having some problems with. And, it's basically -- we've got this old, inoperable black tar boiler. Is there a -- is there a requirement or should we impose one that the Applicant leave the site any better than they found it? In other words, it's not in great shape now. This isn't the case, like what we're dealing with at Noble Wind or any other wind projects, where we're going into somewhat virgin areas and tearing down trees and putting in roads and putting up towers. This place is a big industrial center right now, which I think we've all kind of agreed to, will look a little better if Laidlaw goes forward than it does right now."

NOTE: Above quote extracted from SEC deliberations transcript dated 09/21/10; members of PUC and SEC present.

It sure appears clear to me that the PUC and SEC know downright well what they're dealing with here. Preserving the rich history of commercial activity at this site for more than 100 years just may be what they support, afterall.

Keep up the good work!
