47,000 ballots uncounted in Pima County Posted: Nov 3, 2010 12:46 PM Updated: Nov 3, 2010 1:59 PM
TUCSON - It ain't over til it's over - Over 25,000 early ballots, 12,000 provisional ballots and 10,000 duplicate remain uncounted in Pima County. The Recorder's Office says that the early ballots must be verified before they can be sent to the Elections Department to be counted. They need to verify the 12,000 provisional ballots, which are ballots with "a problem," before they can be counted. There are also 10,000 duplicate ballots that need to be processed.
No word on exactly how long it will take to process and count these 47,000 ballots, but it could be days before a final tally is made.
News 4 will have a full report on the latest developments in this year's hotly contested election at 5 p.m. And 6 p.m.
