Just dusting off the cobwebs on my ihub ID...LOL. Long time no talkie! I took a gander at the back and forth for today and just wanted to put in my little bit on the "Libya has no oil" bit.
The Nay Sayers seem to forget the excellent experience of Verenex, who took a concession with absolutely zero data and began exploring. I haven't looked up their drilling results in some time, but I seem to recall that their firmed up reserve estimates were very serious. Serious enough to get into play with CNPC who tried to buy them for something like $10 a share. Something tells me that CNPC wasn't trying to buy VNX at $10 a share just to make a desert parking lot.
The idea that you just drill a hole in the ground and "up from the ground came a bubblin' crude...Texas Tea" is plain silly. After all, it is called "Exploring" before "Exploiting"...LOL.
