Because someone isn't matching up those reports and asking "why?"!

Sorry. The nice folks at FINRA will tell you to forget about the short volume reports and to rely on the short interest reports.

Why is the daily list not matching up with the bi-monthly short interest list for FFGO?

"Once the Daily Short Sale Volume File is made publicly available at the end of each trading day, FINRA notes that users of such data should not expect the daily and monthly data to reconcile because, among other things, monthly transaction data will include reporting through the end of FINRA transaction reporting hours that terminate as late as 8:00 p.m., while daily volume reports will only include volume reported during regular trading hours."

GM Seven and All FFGOrs!

Since some have difficulty understanding, let me assist them...

Notice it says "could have," which also means it "could have not." It does not say it has to be; therefore, I believe it is fair to conclude that a certain portion can continue to carry over. Thank you, Seven, for your diligence, concerning the possible short position.

Personally, I continue to believe there is a HUGE Naked Short position in FFGO!! Will the "abusers" ever have to cover, restulting in a short squeeze? Not sure, as my guess is there are many tricks to try and avoid this but, as I understand it, IF the NMGL Preferred A and B shares are in physical certificate form, it could be a great burden for them. If that is true, I sure HOPE they are. :)

I hope everyone has a great day!

[... Also, I spoke to a representative at FINRA a moment ago (800-321-6273) and he confirmed that when we view the daily short list, it does not mean that the short position is being held the next day. The short could have been covered the same day. This was an important clarification for me regarding the Reg SHO daily list. Thanks/V]
