Greg, I have decided to decline the position. Things were way too emotional just now, and I think any drastic moves would be regretted later. Let's just leave things "as is" right now, and let things cool down. However, I still think some compromises need to be reached eventually, but I am willing to hold off for now.

My vote is: I don't care who moderates.

It's it interesting question, is this ultra moderation, with it's deleted posts, better or worse than SI, which summarily bans good people and lets some real jerks continue to post? This site seems more honest. SI more open to opinions.

I haven't paid the dues yet, so if I find this place too suffocating, there is nothing lost.
