< All I will say is that good lawyers do not file temporary bandaid actions to gain a better short term bargaining position for clients if there is a chance of getting that client slaughtered by a jury in the future. I am assuming that Nok has good lawyers and this is why I take the 3g patent challenge seriously.>

Loop, he can afford to hire the best law firms but,

Do good lawyers make allegations of insider trading against
corporate executives in court filings?

Do good lawyers quote defaming magazine articles (Forbes) to make points in court filings?

This seems more like a personal vendetta directed by Jorma through the law firms. IMO the guy is an anti-USA crackpot with a Napoleonic complex, whose glory days are far behind him.

loop -- we know 'that Nok has good lawyers' -- what you are actually assuming is that Nokia necessarily makes decisions consistent with their advice, and that therefore Nokia has not filed 'temporary bandaid actions to gain a better short term bargaining position' even if there is a risk of Nokia getting 'slaughtered by a jury in the future' as a result of its having done so

Loop, can you explain why you would think Nokia would put in its complaint, the article from Forbes as support for their claim? To this non lawyer, by Nokia using that article, it opens up the possibility that IDCC's attorney's can then use the numerous articles out their against Nokia who has been accused of price fixing by some reporters in their attempt to get a cap on royalties, in addition to other misdeeds. I would think quoting an article from Forbes is a stretch at best, as "proof" of what you are claiming but now that Nokia has used this tactic, IDCC should respond in kind IMO and cite all the articles that accuse Nokia of wrongdoing of whatever kind. I bet if we gave OLDDOG 15 minutes, he could come up with several pages worth of links to articles that would shed Nokia in not the best light. What do you think?
