In general (not just this specific case) are cvr's tradeable?

Ligand had one that was paid recently and in their filing they made mention of it being more then the quoted value of the cvr. I haven't figured out where to see their value but thought there may be an inefficiency here especially since many people just let them sit in their accounts and don't think about them (I am sure many people do it no offense intended to ij :-)).

Remember the first time we've talked about the name I also thought the company must have Israeli roots since 'lev' means 'heart' in Hebrew and the company was also developing (or at least said so) C1-INH as a treatment for heart attack (AMI) at the time. Perhaps medchal's Hebrew is better than yours :)

Re: All Israeli companies are scams thread

I apologize for not pulling more of those posts for being off-topic.

This board isn't about pumping penny stocks, and it isn't about making blanket statements or generalizations without proof or examples about an entire class of companies based on their location.

There may be some truth to what was said, but include more evidence in the future. This board caters to scientists, doctors, patients, long term investors, naive investors, people from virtually every background, and yes, day traders.

Take what you read here with a grain of salt. Even as a moderator, I don't know someone's motives for posting and can't fact check everything.

FWIW, the entire biotech industry could be called a scam, as many are little more than research labs funded by investors, and the vast majority of potential drugs never get approved, but some do and go on to help people. But that's a gamble.
