BD6..My guess is that this would be the "killer device" referred to in one of the webcasts as being scheduled for unveilling at the CES in January. My next guess would be that this device plays digital audio as well as video, and if it were tied into home theater or automotive systems as a "plug in portable", I think it would really rock! Convergence is the name of the game, so look for beels and whistles IMHO.

BlackDog: If I recall correctly, when JC showed the Odyssey 1000 for the first time, the host (who was a real dork, imo) said, "Wow!" and that is when JC backed off and said that he did not want to disclose too much.

JC continued to talk about plans for releasing a portable Video Odyssey which can store up to 100 full length movies on the portable or connect to a big screen and play up to 40 movies.
