This petition was pretty involved. Whether they failed to include some minor info, or failed to complete a request of the board is unknown to me. This was a formal hearing that probably used Robert's Rules, so it didn't take much to result in this outcome - and you can't spend a lot of time talking your way out of a mistake - that's why they use Robert's Rules. It's also why there are lawyers involved.
I'm not sure why Cheryl Linden was present. I thought maybe she was a lawyer for CGFIA when I first read the summary, but from what I can find she is First Assisant District Attorney. (Sometimes a lawyer uses Esquire to let people know they work for the state and not there to chase ambulances.)
From what I can find Steven Fearn is a local player in Silverton, past manager of the Gold King and has had an interest in getting the mines and mills reopened in Silverton for years. He's had a history with Hennis, (and I get the feeling it wasn't a happy one).
This board meets once a month. Barring a special session, this will really increase the waiting game.
