I imagine the terms of the factoring agreement are favorable being that the money is coming from buyers like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens etc.. i could see 5% clippings if the A/R was from places like Billy Bob's Bait Shop

I'll bet the articles were written, or paid for, by the factoring companies promoting their own companies.

You have to compare it to a good old fashion credit line. And there's no comparison.
