The integrity of the game is being destroyed by a lot more than steroids. We can pick out a few players like Pedro and bitch and moan about them, their agents, and the particular club owners and management fighting them, for acting ever more money-hungry and conducting themselves in slimier and uglier ways every year, or we can recognize that it's a culture endemic to the monopoly business of MLB, where money is the measure of everything it does.
It is that collective greed and crassness of MLB that causes them to run the business in a way that screws the basic competitive nature of the game.
