Here's a story to make you feel better: Several years ago, I bought 1000 shares of a company that had a very promising test for ovarian cancer. I paid $1.60 per share. It drifted down, and down, and so I sold 900 shares and kept 100. Frankly, I had forgotten about them. A few weeks ago, another investor told me the stock had gone down to 2 cents per share! Two cents!!

. That was before they suddenly got FDA clearance for their test last year (2009). It trades today at about $25 per share. Two cents to $25. I read recently it was about a 200,000% increase!! Vermillion is the name of the company.
