At $.09 going forward with no real net income growth would place AMD at a P/E of 40...so yes your right that everything hinges on 4th quarter outlook and projections...but at .09 per share in manufacturing is not exciting unless you hold shares in internet stocks like Yahoo and Ebay...;>)
