Any price tag for such a kit too? Basically it needs to be affordable enough that an average homeowner can buy it and simple enough that they can install themselves or for a nominal fee (<200 bucks).

sorkassaur It will be a little trickier for the average homeowner you would have to have a special meter that would measure in flow and out flow of electricity you might have to get the line phased right ( balanced ) and have the power co their to check every thing out. When the power company does it it should be free It is in NY. Better call first.

I would like to see an avg home-owner set the time on his dvd player. A solar system of any type considering price and the tech involved needs a professional to install. But even when I buy a bike for my kids I have them put it together.
