I think that the technology of this NDD can be applied to a much wider range of needles and hospital sharps than the current versions. Safeguard was obviously underfunded, since the FDA process extinguished most of their initial capital. With proper funding, serious lobby efforts in DC, some good engineering and throw in some smart marketing, there's no limit as to where this may lead.
