The T-trades don't really affect the next day's opening price though, do they?

The irony is that today's candlestick was a "dark cloud cover", lol.
I don't know if you follow americanbulls.com but tomorrow's action is indicative as to why they are a difficult trading site to follow.
In all liklihood americanbulls.com will come out with a "sell if" scenario which means "sell if" the stock opens lower and doesn't close higher (one scenario of the sell if).
The problem is that IF the stock opens lower and closes lower than they will take the opening price as their exit price. But IF the stock opens lower and closes higher they will not exit but put another "sell if" for the following day to see what candlestick pattern emerges.
I have followed that site for awhile to see how they could come up with the kind of unbelievable numbers they do ($100 turned into $3,000,000 in SRSR in two years???). It's nice to be able to take the opening price as your exit IF the stock closes down on the day, lol. Wish I had that option.
