Can anyone advise me about the actual spng product?

I went to their website (http://www.spongetechs.com/3-Pack-Car-Kit-Loose-p/504226.htm) and it said that a car sponge was good for 8 washes. What happens after the 8th wash? Is the sponge useless afterwards?
