Sbpr14: You make some very good points. You asked me, "give me a logical reason for the timing of LOGO's PR and opening themselves for others to steal their thunder."
I can only guess that it's because of their (Logo) desire to keep people on the edge of their seats waiting for them to start airing, just like we wait for PR's from Frank.
When we start talking about Logo's activities and timing of their PR's, I always go back to what Viacom's head man, Firestone, said, way back when, that they're going to launch a gay and lesbian station and that it was an error for them to derail it when they first discussed it earlier. I believe, Mr. Firestone said it would be next year sometime, as best I can recall, next year sometime, as I recall. This being the case, they releasing PR's that provide some substance of what their subscribers can expect from Logo. This is just what we kept asking from Frank in his PR's that we did not get.
I to Logo's, just as I have posted here, until they have a product, the gay and lesbian station, up and running, their Pr's are all hipe. However, Viacom, unlike Frank, has an ongoing station, whereas, Frank does not. The question is, will Viacom launch Logo as stated, or will they miss their launch dates, as Frank did in the past, while QTV airs? It is certainly something to ponder. Good luck to all.
