GTC- I listened to one of Joels calls and he did say that he was working in the "diamond district" in NYC at one time. I'll see if I can find the links to his interviews.
Joel was an expert at the pump. his largest point hinged on DeBeers having already found "proven mineable reserves". of course anyone dealing in fact, not rumor or lies, knows NO COMPANY HAS STATED THEY HAVE FOUND ECONOMICALLY MINEABLE DIAMONDS. they, including DeBeers, Kensington, Shore, Forest Gate are still scrambling to identify value greater than about $10/carat, and it costs $10/carat to mine. Shore is the closest, or so it seems.
