I have no idea.. I don't think there are any guarantees either way...I'm hoping that the potential merger helps the company and the shareholders..we'll just have to wait and see! :)

This is about having more shares... serious investors want considerable stake in this endeavour !

25,000 stores in control of 260 million ...that is 260,000,000 population depending on these stores for their daily basic needs ! close ur eyes and imagine just one product u are willing to sell to 260 million ! how much money is that ! u need to guarantee ur outlets...then u buy the stores if u can !

there are 2000 products being sold ! glcc have some branded products already ! aahh, coca- cola alone...u need not produce it...the distribution outlets earn a lot on these...takes the pain out of coca -cola ! If pepsi comes in...then who ever owns the stores...sells more soda ! :)

any which way... these stores will have daily revenues !

when they reach 10,000 stores thats where those financial services comes in like atm...paydayloan...money remittances etc.!
