Think of Data Play as a maker of a box that has widgets that can read and write to opical disks (such as a DVD read/writer). To get the DVD to actually produce sound it must be connected to speakers or earphones by additional circuity and this is done with another box. EDIG helps to connect the two boxes. The content key must use the circuitry in the boxes to enable access to the digital format. EDIG allows the content key to read the data play disks. We get money from the companys that use our MicroOs to connect the two boxes. We are the glue that holds this all together.
RP made it clear at least to me (LOL) that e.Digital WILL NOT be receiving fees from every DataPlay player, only from those OEM's that use our reference design. That is all he said we get royalties from?
