I think it may be difficult to get above that 1380-1400 zone initially on the SPX. We also have the Fed on the 30th, which is likely to disappoint no matter what they do.

I'll make one correction to that. If Bernanke announces he's purchased 1000 helicopters for the Fed and they are going to make daily drops during the 1st quarter, the market may respond positively, although those USD would likely be debased to the point of being cheaper than the Charmin at your local grocery store.
