jarta...

I'll tell ya what I think we need. Is for SUNW( I know that
some will think i'm really stretching with this) to put
out a PR saying in so many words. Yes Don Yarter was
sent to the eConnect shareholders meeting to represent
Sun Microsystems. Yes Sun Micro is behind eConnect 100%
with the eCashpad (bank eyes only) technology. Working
to better or enhance their already working technology.
To me after the microscope that has been up our you know
what. For the last 7 1/2 months. For the NASDAQ to approve
us to be relisted. The investor confidence is at an all
time high for us.

I say forget the company size it's about the tech. Time to
put up or shut up for anyone involved. I can't see the need
to beat around the bush any more.

Hi Jarta,

I did not know you were at the meeting. Hey, don't be a stranger next time we bump into each other:))))))

Here are the posts that I responded to people asking questions about it on SI, and Filmpreak about our conversation with Don Yarter (the content of his post is fairly accurate).

<<Not sure if I understand your question, but I think you are asking if the guy is for real from SUN Microsystems? YES, I spoke to him twice, about 10 minutes during break time when I introduced myself and we had a 10 minutes conversation. (Filmpreak from RB did joint the conversation shortly, and about 10 other people quickly cirled us and listen in), I also have another brief conversation at the end of the meeting when he handed me his business card. I have his address, phone number, email, fax, cell number, ect...

I think Filmpreak had post a message on RB about the conversation, I think it fairly sum up the conversation, and I can validate the info on that post. However, I did ask Don yarter 4 questions before Filmpreak joint us, and they were as follow.
1) Are you an employee of Sun Microsystems? The answer was yes.
2) Are you getting compensation on commission, per job or strictly salary? The answer is strictly salary.
3) What is the possibility of SUNW help ECNC with funding?
the answer is almost zero chance, as it is not SUNW policy to help start up company with funding. The assistant come in the form of technology sharing, provide ECNC with needed equipments ect....
4) How about a buy out?
Very unlikely as SUNW is not interest in the transaction processing business. We want to "dominate" the Smart Cards business in the U.S. Amex is the only one that seems to have something going with the "blue chip" cards, but they are having software problems.>>

Let me see if I can explain the SUNmicro info. I just got in from the meeting I talked for several minutes with the gentelman from SUN. He would not be specific as to exactly how SUN is assisting ECNC. He did say that SUN is working to be THE company for Smart Card Tech. And they are pursueing companies who are developing the tech. He went on to say that ECNC is the only compnay in the USA who has the smart card infustructure in place to process transactions. He said it is his job to go out and find these new tech companies and bring them to SUN. And the SUN makes a decission wich tech to embrace( noting he was not aware of any competitors except for some UK co., of wich he did not even know the name.

He also restated what Mark Hatfield, Sr. Vp of NDFC said that the new standard DPTK(sp) for processing transactions will have to be compliant starting in jan 2001. The exsisting swipers that are out there including the brick and morter devices will all need to be replace because they are not up to the new standard; the ecashpad is and it is also smart card ready.

He also told me AMEX has had many difficulties (software problems) with the implimitation of the of their smart card reader for internet use. He said that with the use of the ecashpad AMEX could solve the problems.

THIS IS IMO. I have not quoted anyone, and I may have misunderstood the information given to me.

ricky, chris and midas - I don't feel bad about selling out about half of my holdings because of Evans. I did it because I was thinking that everyone else was going to do it (also it was too enticing to pass up about 300% in two days) and drive the price down, not because his article it meant anything to me. We sat at about $0.50 for months until we started to spiral at the end of the summer. I think with relisting we are justified at $1-$1.25 price (if $.50 was a real indicator in the past).

I do feel bad in the short term for the people that panicked not on what it thought that everyone else would do, but on the "fear" of the details in the article by Evans.

I thought that at $2 we were moving too fast for not having any revenues, a merchant list or an eCashpad in our hands. The mentioning of SUN seemed liked a cheap gimmick to me by ECNC, but not misleading. I will get back in to my old position or higher in the next few days. I'm betting on a drop off in price tomorrow morning and I think that we will sit in the $1.00 to $1.50 range until after Comdex. I think once we the eCashpads are issued, we get a merchant list, a second MM for a bid and ask and it is seen at Comdex (hopefully the Radio Queen will start her advertisements although I still can't find a radio station that plays her clips) and another fews ads in the Wall Street Journal, then we could see $2.50- $3 by Christmas and stall until the company accomplishes something (or doesn't accomplish anything)in the marketplace. I could see a lift-off in March or a slow spiral back to $1.

I'm gambling, but I still love ECNC's concept.

Also, when is Comdex? November 13-17, 2000? The 10-Q is due Noevmber 14, 2000? I have a feeling that it will be late, which doesn't bother me at all like it did in the past.
