Thanks Barnstormer,

They want me not to drive regardless of using the propofol, or not, so I'll use it though I'm sure the pain would be tolerable. I've had enough pain that anything less is appreciated.

From the damage the surgeon explained at the problem site, I really doubt that other things would work beyond cleaning it all up.

I'm certainly not expert at interpreting an MRI, but it really looked like a mess in the middle of my spinal column.
