I am with you on settlement. They don't want this goes to full discovery. Let's say they settle for $1.5 bil. They will still come ahead . Because once their book opened that would be the case for future cases.
Gary, I would agree a settlement is most likely. That being said, Powers did demand a jury trial. So is she (and Posner) willing to accept an admission the MM's did something wrong and agree on a dollar settlement and or do they want to roll the dice on a jury decision with a dollar settlement and an additional amount like punitives? Will be interesting to watch. On a side issue away from NWBO, I do hold positions in MSFT and META so I'm a happy camper today. Just wish I had more of them.
