You don’t seem to understand the legal argument… It doesn’t matter if you paid your loans back if you obtained them fraudulently to begin with. In doing so, you have spoiled the marketplace for everyone everyone else who could have obtained financing, but did not, because of your fraud.
This is not a statute that they just made up now to deal with Trump… It’s a long-standing principle of how Business is fairly done.
