Personally, I'd rather hire a good person that I can trust, and that I feel will be loyal, train them up to fit the needed role, versus hire some know it all that views the job as a paycheck and nothing more. It goes beyond just a job, and becomes a true team where everyone looks out for one another's/the whole's, best interest versus just their own.
