I had a beautiful two acre lot on the Columbia river WA high bank with
48”+ diameter old growth trees 2008

I had looked into the container build option then.
They don’t insulate well. Especially in lake type winters where your looking to build

Also the local jurisdiction changed the ordinance against cargo type unless they get the proper requirements

You could buy a prefab house

In the end a build is better long term and holds value
