It was all about the greed and stupidity of the Apes. Still is. AA is just trying to save the company. He can do that by filing bankruptcy. Theatres will stay open, AMC popcorn at Walmart, and everything. Nobody will know the difference.

AMC = APE = $0.68 > then bankruptcy.
