So the stock price was around $9 dollars on 30 December. It was down around the low $8s a few day prior to 30 December. So, what does it mean that the stock is up $1.80 more since 30 Dec?

Do you think the shorts are just waiting for JP Morgan Chase Presentation to try and force the stock back down? I need to learn more about shorting stocks so I understand how to counter better. I thought about selling a chunk of stock today and buying back after AF does his dirty work. But, I decided to just continue to hold.
