In a large purchase deal, the purchaser needs to show liquidity- meaning enough in accounts to cover the full purchase price with a reasonable debt load and average timed payments, filings to prove it as well as credit checks and banking information. Things apparently musk may not want to do.

Plus if you only had 200 bucks would you invest 1/4 of your total net worth in something you may not be able to sell off at a profit?

Like wanting to buy a used trump golf cart. After replacing all the seats because you can't get the burger farts off of them and de-greasing everything else from mcdonald sludge it's really a poor investment.
