One of my greatest vacation trips ever was to the World's Fair in 1984, in New Orleans. Saw 4th of July fireworks from a docked riverboat, lost the car, ended up walking about 3 hours before we found it. Humidity was so high, was covered in slimy perspiration. Ended up finding a room at the Holiday Inn downtown New Orleans (forgot how much we paid). Same trip visited the French Quarter, but it was raining so hard all we did was drive through it. Took a round trip on the MART which was epic.
