I don't think so, and it's not so easy for a large company to just get into an entirely new field in which they have little experience.

Making silk the old fashioned way is nothing at all like what DuPont does. They are much more likely to be interested in the synthetics like Spiber, or Amsilk.

Once the synthetic methods are up and running, growing mulberry trees and raising worms doesn't stand a chance of keeping up. There may be a lucrative market for KBLB in the future, but it is more likely to be a niche market.
