I was reading a few books prior to finding AIM. I read Darvis's book and some on income averaging and double income averaging and mechanical investing on the Motley Fool.
Then one day I ran across How to make $1,000,000 dollars in the stock automatically in Barns and Noble I think around 1994 -5. I think I found the board just before the switch from Motley Fool to Investorshub so got the free membership with the switch.
Good Morning Tom. I recall you previously sharing your story about your 1987 experience and your epiphany regarding AIM.
By adding the Wikipedia article to it on the 33rd anniversary of Black Monday sure does put your story in perspective. The 20 minute ticker delay for most people probably amplified the 'panic' by at least an order magnitude.
If memory serves, I happened to call out sick that day (a rare occurrence for me). I watched Stuart Varney report on it as he was with CNBC at the time. Crazy day.
