#16290 RE: eye_ater #16288

I subscribe to databases that, providing I have a financial interest in the matter or it's in connection with the investigation of potential civil proceedings, allows me to access DMV licenses of the states that sell them. I do not pull actual credit records, although I could. I only pull the actual credit if I initiate litigation.

There's a difference between a credit bureau header (name address SSN) and the full credit report. The only thing that the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulates is the actual credit information (account data). There are Driver's license protection acts that limit your uses to financial interests. That's why I don't post any driving infractions, etc.

I also do court searches using PACER the federal/bankruptcy access data system. Sometimes I'll do a lien investigation then pull the state court records if I find something.

For instance, I obtained Hayter's information from the Bankruptcy Court, not the DMV. Rosenman came from the DMV and then.
