#35986 RE: PMS Witch #35982

Thanks, I'm going back to find those.
I change the .exe to .old and then the file gets changed to inactive.
Funny thing, win10 tries to open that extension now, hopefully that will go away too.

Still have win10 doing some 'update' work each morning when booting up. No matter what I've tried.

Sometimes one has to go look in the Registry for 'Run- RunOnce' keys where programs use the reg to start up in boot up. You can delete the opera update there too, but anytime you update opera or other programs, they will again populate the reg. But sometimes that's not enough for them, and the .exe files could be in >users>'you'>AppData>roaming..etc.

People will say I'm a conspiracy nut, but I'm not. Win 10 was microsofts most intrusive DRM managed OS yet, it's tight with the big content providers in every way to fight 'piracy'- IE, we-us trying to copy a piece of content to play elsewhere AFTER paying for it..etc etc. Win10 doesn't give a shit if your computer is safe, the updates are also to run checks on your system for media content that hasn't been encrypted with the correct drm or illegal content and believe me, microsoft knows what that content is. When you downloaded win10, you gave microsoft complete rights to access root level and admin at any time it wants.
Think back to the Sony rootkit fiasco. It's real, just a lot more quiet now. Most people don't care.
