mrmainstreet, Certain stocks become "infested" with short sellers.
For example, TSLA, so many SA articles predicting it go bankrupt or
at least fall in price to below $200. Today, the shorts are no longer
in control and the stock is close to $500. (My oldest brother has a
Tesla Model 3 and he loves it!...he also owns the stock and intends to
own it for 3 or 4 years.) I do not believe AMRN top leadership
wanting to build a great company. I do think they will do what is
expedient. Should the right offer come along I believe they will take it.
Sadly, the short sellers are entrenched and it will take a buyout to get
them out. I do believe that they must decide one way or the other for
Europe. If they partner for Europe, a takeover is less likely, if not,
they are then likely to consider takeout offers. Hoping for a settlement
soon so the fun can begin.
