#214413 RE: Chemist2 #214393

Happy Saturday Chemist2. And Flubber, too.

Cargill's brassica (rapeseed), see my 8/15 post #209213 - only 5-8% EPA from these GMO plants in Montana.

Veramaris-DSM/Evonik schizochytrium Mostly DHA. Also, when I did a back-of-the-napkin using their own marketing language - it will take awhile to build up to 15% of aquaculture's needs being met from this source (and it's a particularly loose description - 15% of which input exactly?). Their locale is ideal for the sugar input to grow the algae, but they are far away from the large scale aquaculture markets they say they are targeting other than Idaho (trout farming). See my July posts 201100, 201125, 202065.

Flubber - Glacier is awesome - how lucky to know a botanist who worked in the park. Did you hike the Hidden Lake trail? We were there in early Aug and the bear grass (a first colonizer species esp. after fires) was in full bloom. 1st time in 3 years I've been to the Rockies and not been overwhelmed by smoke from fires.
