The DOE estimates that over $22 billion is lost each year due to loss of electricity through resistance in electrical transmission in the US alone. The DOE has indicated that if the Luxium coating test proves successful in reducing electrical resistance by a minimum of two to three percent, it would be interested in considering having RMGI spray all its electrical transmission lines. Greater conductivity with less resistance would create a significant savings for the Department of Energys transmission of electricity.
