If pr granted stock very well could trade down the next day....that's been this stocks history...other than r-it results many "big news" events have come with a short term sell off....so it could happen again. I agree with lbl though that if pr granted the stock eventually finds a higher trading range as year progresses
Sadly, AMRN is infected (like many other small biotech companies) by short sellers and the only way to get rid of them is through a takeover of the company. This is how it is with these type of stocks. That is a fact, at least for those companies that are infected. The CEO of ITC figured that out for himself and placed the company up for sale. In a Crains interview he said what kept him awake at night was that hedge funds were shorting his company and depressing the share price as well as harping on issues that were not real. Fortis ended up acquiring ITC at a good premium. His conclusion was that huge companies were to difficult to short effectively so they gravitate towards smaller companies and leave the big ones alone.
If the stock was already trading at $40 yes, but shares are depressed... sell the event is not possible in this circumstance. Margin call it is...wait for the call and you’ll see.—BB
