If you believe in the company and its mission, you support it. You don't abandon it when it is most vulnerable. Yes, I could have done what you suggested, but I'm invested to see an effective treatment for cancer get to market. If it does, I will ultimately make money. But it's not all about the money; at least not to me. Did you hear those people as ASCO last year? I want more of those stories and will be happy I helped the company to survive the onslaught of people that don't want them to succeed. In the oft chance I'm wrong, I can live with that too.
