I think that alot of people would rather switch to hybrids first rather than go straight to electric. Ford gave up on the C-max because they failed to market it correctly.. People do Not need more stress in their lives, having range anxiety (when driving an electric), and waiting hours for their car to recharge..
Hybrids take gasoline and operate very similar to normal cars with the ability to get 100-200 more miles out of each tank.
