Motorola charges more than 1,000 for the LMR. I think it's about 2500/unit. They've had a monopoly for decades.

The $1,000 is what the cell company would charge the end customer. Siyata would get about $600/unit. Cell company distributor would charge for the installation. Ingram Micro is the US distributor for AT&T so they would do the installation.

The $1,000 is cheap because it replaces several devices in the cab.

If you go on the AT&T First Responder website, you won't find any other approved devices that are like the UV-350. I think it will take some time because Fire and Police Departments will have to totally switch over to the new Band. They can't partially switch over their communication network.

Maybe there will be Federal money to help First Responders switch to a better system.

5G will take a long time to build out. I agree it's a risk that Municipalities may hold out for the 5G device. But I think Siyata is aiming for the commercial market anyway. And if they're the first to develop a 5G device, they will eventually get the First Responder business.
