It would be a bad sign if no settlements were proposed. They clearly are in negotiations about a settlement. If no agreement can come before a trail date is set then that’s not good either.

They have not. Quite the opposite....”too far apart” means they aren’t even close to one.
There is nothing good about what is in the letter. Offers of settlement are quite standard...and in this case the letter suggests there is a long road ahead...contrary to Rory’s portrayal of this being frivolous or quickly dismissed.
