amd just started to trade again looks like about 22. Which would be down 3 from the close and last halt, but only 200k shares.

I was starting to get my hopes up, but I think it's back to "wait 'til next quarter" mode for any kind of major change in perception to occur with Wall Street analysts with regard to Intel and AMD.

I think you maybe correct, but margins are defintely in free fall and that's with a paltry 6 million Core2 duo's.

Re: I just don't understand how Turion can continue making progress in both units and ASPs. Then again, Merom was just released in August.

I think it's two fold. For one thing, you are right about Merom ramping just in the last month of the quarter. However, I think it's easy for AMD to post gains in a segment where they have such a small presence to begin with. Intel still owns >85% of the mobile market, and AMD is making headway just on the basis that more OEMs are offering them as a low volume choice. AMD says that more than 150 Turion platforms are now out there, and even if most of these only contributes a paltry amount of volumes, collectively it adds up to a greater percentage of the market. And next quarter, Dell will be ramping up on Turion, which means an even larger volume. So AMD may continue to gain share, even as Intel wins back accounts from other vendors.

Right, so that would be the time to make a move on Intel. One Q is not so bad...
