The "Italian trials", if I remember correctly, date back to Latino's days.

When it turned out that those trials weren't actually happening, it was part of the reason that Latino was kicked out, investigated, and eventually arrested. Ed came in after that.

I don't know what light FR can shed on the present situation based on those days, but I'd like to hear from him. So far no reply to my private msg.
