You're correct in part, what you need to add is that many, if not all it's products will first be available for sale in cannabis stores with or without a prescription for cannabis depending on whether a State offers recreational cannabis, or is limited to medical.
As I understand cannabis stores, a single prescription from a qualified Doctor permits you to buy anything in the store for a specified period of time, it's not like a drug prescription that permits the purchase of a specific drug.
If you look at the latest presentation by the company, you'll note they have two paths to the market, the drug approval path will take far longer, and costs will be substantial to do so, but it can be funded by the sales in cannabis stores.
