Sure... unless they figure out how to get their money out by selling at $0.0001 before the reverse split comes, their money is gone.
However, I once got a bucket of $100 worth of quarters at a casino and started at one end of a row of quarter slot machines. I put quarters in each machine until it paid something. Then, I moved to the next machine. The only entertainment value was to see how far I could get without running out of quarters. For a while, I was probably up $100 but walking out of the casino with a profit was not my original objective. I kept feeding slots until the last quarter was gone.
I didn't get to all of the machines, but I got through probably 75% of them. The whole point was that I was on vacation and bored, so $100 was cheap entertainment for a short while. Then, I could say I did the casino thing and not wonder about it. Almost no one ever comes out ahead at a casino. If they did, the casinos would go broke.
