Walter, if you are correct in saying the 50Gbs "packaged and evaluated" devices are now being sent out to potential partners and customers, then I would say, yes, they must already be meeting some minimum requirements "as is", and the additional engineering work will then be focused on improving those results

I still hang on the words "packaged and evaluated", to me this does have a ring of completeness, and if it is the case that these devices are now being sent to potential partners and customers, wow, things may develop rapidly going forward!

I concur that they must have already hit most of the parameters they were aiming at. They haven’t made public whether the device parameters have been characterized in these last three weeks. If they are sending the devices to customers, I agree it would suggest they are satisfied with the results. I just don’t know what that means exactly because I’m not smart enough on the business side.

So my question is, what does the company consider satisfactory results? How much better do we need to be? If we can simply match the parameters of existing devices but hit a much lower price point, will we penetrate the markets? Dr. Lebby obviously knows the answer to these questions and I’m sure you do too. I’m still learning how markets work. I trust the company will bring this home in short order.
